See The Story of Professor Patti and Professor Paul, a comical 20-minute presentation that follows two fictional researchers and their research project.
Most research news is communicated to distribution lists of ORSPA staff and research advancement staff. See the contacts below to make sure you get on the right list.
Contact ORSPA-Training@asu.edu to be added to the training distribution list. Note to Engineering staff: DL.WG.FSE.ResearchAdv is already on the training list. You do not need to be added to the training list separately.
Contact Limited.Submissions@asu.edu to be added to the weekly newsletter for limited funding opportunities.
In addition to standard Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, research advancement staff should also install:
While Adobe Reader is the only requirement for Grants.gov, working with PDF documents may be more efficient with the full Adobe Acrobat software.
Access to view effort reports in the online effort reporting module in PeopleSoft is available to ORSPA and Research Advancement staff using alternate ASURite logins beginning with either OR_ or RA_. Request the Sponsored Projects alternate id for PeopleSoft by sending an email to Anne Feuerborn. Include your name and ASUrite ID and your supervisor's name and ASUrite ID for fastest service.
Log in to http://www.asu.edu/selfsub/ and verify that "ASUrite Windows Domain (faculty/employee)" shows up in your current subscriptions. If it does not, please add this service. This service is useful for many tools used across campus. If you add this service, also synchronize your passwords at http://www.asu.edu/changepassword/.
You must have Data Warehouse access to use the SuperReport and possibly other reports and tools as well. Learn more about the requirements and how to request access at How to Start Using the ASU Data Warehouse.
